I was able to put it together eventually and I think it is sturdy enough to last for a while, but I don’t think it would very well be disassembled, transported and put together in the same shape again. When put together, it looks like pictured. Color is a shiny, deep black, as pictured. You are able to see the grain of the wood a little.
